WELCOME

Hello all lovers of Victorian Popular Fiction, Gothic novels, and books in general!

This is my first post...welcome. I hope you'll become a follower, so we can read and talk about Victorian fiction together. Leave a comment and let me know what you're reading or just say "hello".

In the left-hand column you will find what I'm reading or have recently finished. Reviews will follow.

So let's dig out all those old goodies -- those books we read in high school; the dusty books we found in used book and antique stores, and the books our grandparents gave us.

Happy reading!

  8. Linda- You are so right! The more I get into it, the more I find to read. The audience for popular fiction was enormous in the 1860s and 1870s. They had become a "novel reading people" said Trollope. One author alone could have written over 100 stories! This blog will certainly be a work of love.
